Kansas Earnings Drop First Quarter

Image of a blank timesheetAlthough total earnings in Kansas dropped 0.44 percent from fourth quarter 2011 to first quarter 2012, some industries had notable increases. The Kansas military experienced a 3.86 percent increase in total earnings, while construction increased 3.67 percent; arts, entertainment, and recreation increased 3.3 percent; and accommodation and food services increased 2.65 percent. This data is part of a recent news release by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, which provides quarterly state personal income data and earnings by industry.
