Robert Moser, M.D.

Dr. Moser is the Executive Director of The University of Kansas Hospital’s Health Care Improvement Award focused on improving the outcomes of heart disease and stroke for rural Kansans. 

He is president of the Kansas Public Health Association, serves on the Kansas Medical Society Board Trustees as Vice Chair Membership, and Secretary for the Kansas Healthcare Collaborative.  He is an Associate Clinical Professor in Public Health Practice with the KU School of Medicine in the Dept. of Preventive Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Moser attended the KU School of Pharmacy, KU School of Medicine, completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Smoky Hill Family Practice Residency in Salina, KS, and practiced Family Medicine for 22 years in Tribune, KS. 

 In August 2010, Dr. Moser joined the KU School of Medicine–Wichita, Department of Family and Community Medicine as the Director of Rural Health and Outreach.  In January 2011, Dr. Moser was appointed by Governor Brownback as the Secretary and State Health Officer for the Kansas Dept. of Health and Environment, a position he served in until December 2014 when he assumed his current positions.  Dr. Moser and his wife Dalene have been married for 34 years and have two adult daughters.
