Paul W. Grimes currently serves as the Dean of the Kelce College of Business at Pittsburg State University, his alma mater where he earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in economics. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Oklahoma State University. Prior to returning to Kansas, Dr. Grimes served 25 years as a faculty member and administrator for the College of Business at Mississippi State University. He is the author of more than one hundred scholarly research publications and coauthor of the bestselling Economics of Social Issues textbook published by McGraw-Hill. In 2005 he was recognized for his career contributions to economic education research with the Henry H. Villard Award presented by the National Council on Economic Education. In 2010, the Southern Economic Association presented him with the Kenneth G. Elzinga Distinguished Teaching Award. He is a past president of the National Association of Economic Educators and is currently the Editor-in-Chief of The American Economist, the academic journal published by Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society in Economics.
