During the 12 months ending in November, the WSU Leading Economic Indicators Index had a net gain of 4.5 percent. Kansas initial unemployment claims dropped 30.5 percent for the 12 months ending in November, compared to the previous 12 months, while the national inflation-adjusted value of aircraft and parts increased 27.1 percent during that same time period. Although the WSU Current Conditions Index reflects a weakened local economy, the WSU Leading Index suggests a stronger economy as we approach mid-2011.
