The WSU Current Conditions Index has been on an upward trend since January, gaining 3.9 percent over the five months ending in June. Three of the six Index indicators showed improvement from May to June. The hotel occupancy rate increased 10.1 percentage points, the volume of airfreight shipments at Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport increased 6.6 percent, and employment increased 0.2 percent. All indicators are seasonally adjusted.
