Kara is the Vice President of Human Resources for Delta Dental of Kansas.  She has over 15 years of experience in Human Resources in the media, consulting, retail, and banking industries.  She is active in the community serving as the Chair for the Salvation Army Board of Directors, ex Officio President of the Wichita Rotary Charitable Fund, is a Big Sister with Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of Sedgwick County, is a Board Member for the Boys and Girls Club , is an Honorary Commander at McConnell Air Force Base, incoming Vice President of Programs for Downtown Rotary and is the  co-founder of Mission Wichita (a program starting in 2018 with the Wichita Chamber and McConnell Air Force Base). She received the Big Sister of the Year for Community Based Matches from BB/BS , was recognized by the Wichita Business Journal as a 40 Under 40, received the HR Professional of the Year from the Wichita Chapter of the Society for Human Resources, was selected as the Kansas HR Professional of the Year in , was an inaugural member of the Wichita Business Journal’s HR Professionals, selected as a Women in Business in  by the Wichita Business Journal and was a member of the Leadership Wichita class of 2012 and Leadership Kansas class of 2015.  Kara is the proud mother of two beautiful, intelligent daughters that keep her HR skills current daily.
