The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics recently introduced an interactive map application that can be used to display data from the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages by state and county. In addition to mapping capabilities, the application has chart and table features. Charts are designed to display the distribution of selected variables, while multiple table layouts are presented depending on the level of geographic detail chosen. Downloadable files are available at the bottom of each table as CSV files for Excel, as CSV data feeds and as XML files preformatted for use as web-based data sources.
