Greg Kindle has served as the President of the Wyandotte County Economic Development Council since December 2011.

Greg has more than 20 years of experience in community and economic development primarily in the Kansas City market. He served as President of the Southwest Johnson County Economic Development Corporation where he worked on the BNSF intermodal development. He brings a unique perspective having worked in management capacities for Kansas City Power and Light as Senior Manager of Economic Development & Customer Solutions for KCP&L. Roles in state government, United Way and Sprint have also contributed to his experience in business development.

In Greg’s role as the President of the Wyandotte Economic Development Council, he administers programs focused on business recruitment, retention, expansion, marketing, and workforce solutions. He and his team identify ways to attract the right businesses for specific locations, retain the companies already located in the county, grow businesses through a variety of traditional and new approaches to economic development, and identify strategies for long-term community growth all with a focus on building relationships.

His unique background in economic development is beneficial in assisting Wyandotte County continue its successful economic transformation that has resulted in more than $4 billion in announced investments to Wyandotte County since 2012.

Greg and his wife, Karen, have three children. They live in Kansas City, Kansas.
