In September, the WSU Leading Economic Indicators Index rose for the sixth month in a row, gaining 4.6 percent since March. Designed as a tool to help anticipate the condition of the local economy in the short-term, the Index is currently pointing toward a positive scenario for the Wichita economy in the first half of next year.
