Jeanie Metzen Brotherton
Owner and President
F.H. Kaysing Company

Jeanie Metzen Brotherton is the Owner and President of F. H. Kaysing Company, a U.S. Customs Brokerage firm started by Fred Kaysing in 1929.  With a background that began in exports, Jeanie was recruited to manage the imports for F. H. Kaysing Company in 1982.  She became a licensed customs broker in 1984 under the U.S. Department of Treasury, although this licensure now falls under The Department of Homeland Security.   Having been with F.H. Kaysing for thirty years, in 2012 Jeanie assumed ownership of the company.  She has experienced many economic ups and downs and numerous changes in the industry during her forty-five years in the export/import business.

Born and raised in Mayfield, KS, Jeanie is the daughter of a successful small business owner and has a history of hard work and good decision-making skills.   Overseeing the company, she simultaneously maintains a fine balance between enhancing the professional environment for her employees as she continually seeks ways to develop processes to better assist importers to make them confident in their customs compliance.

Jeanie is a firm believer in local community involvement and is a longtime contributor to several organizations, including corporate sponsorship to PBS (Veteran’s Coming Home), Relay for Life, WSU Athletics, and others.

Jeanie and her husband Rick Brotherton enjoy attending WSU sporting events and love to travel to see the Shockers Men’s basketball tournaments.  They are the proud grandparents of four grandchildren and one of their favorite pastimes is the family get-togethers at their cabin on Table Rock Lake.
