Eileen McNichol

Eileen McNichol is Sedgwick County’s Chief Human Resources Officer.  For over 20 years Eileen has been learning about and from employees in a variety of industries: utilities, entertainment, healthcare and government in Kansas and Georgia.  

Prior to joining Sedgwick County, she held HR Leadership positions in Georgia at Southern Company, Mirant, and Rockdale County and upon her return to Kansas, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa Kansas. She also owned her own Human Resources Consulting Firm, HRx, in Georgia, serving clients like Turner Broadcasting, the Atlanta Braves, Cox Communications and the Atlanta Journal Constitution.   She has provided strategic guidance in organizational development, HR risk management, workforce development, and compliance. 

While at Rockdale County, Georgia, the Georgia Local Government Personnel Association (GLGPA) awarded her the 2007 HR Professional of the Year – awarded for the P.R.I.D.E. Certified Management Certification Curriculum, and in 2006, they awarded her the HR Large Agency of the Year – awarded for the Rockdale county P.R.I.D.E. Program.

Eileen is a passionate advocate for the Employee Experience through Total Compensation and Talent Management and how that strategy drives attraction, retention and engagement.

She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kansas and is a SHRM – Senior Certified Professional and a certified Human Capital Strategist.
