Gentry Thiesen
Wichita State University 

Gentry Thiesen is a Senior at Wichita State University majoring in Political Science and Anthropology and will be graduating in May 2019. In addition to being a full-time student, she works at WSU’s Community Engagement Institute as a Project Assistant with AmeriCorps VISTA and the Healthy Communities Initiative. Gentry spent last spring working as an Intern and Office Assistant in the Kansas House of Representatives. Her research interests include health equity in rural and urban communities and local public policy. She is originally from Goessel, KS and is currently living in Wichita.
